Thanksgiving day special recipe

Turkey roast in different process


Sour & Spicy Turkey Roast

Ingredients:

  • Turkey 1 piece (10 to 15 lbs)
  • Onion Slice 250 g
  • Olive oil 400 ml
  • Or Butter 500 g
  • Sour curd 500 g
  • Garlic paste 200 g
  • Zinger paste 200 g
  • Coriander leaf paste 150 g
  • Green Chili 100 g
  • Black pepper paste 100 g
  • Poppy seed 200 mg
  • Mace 100 g
  • Salt
  • Cardamom seed power 50 g
  • Cinnamon powder 50 g
  • Sugars 100 g
  •  Lemon juice 100 ml
  • Cream 100 g
  • Tomato,cucumber,Lettuce leaf for decoration

Preparation:

Make your oven preheated at 400°F. Fry  the slice onion for further use.Cut horizontally the

turkey at middle point make two halves. Make some deep straight line in the turkey body as herbs can grow easily. Put this two half turkey in a bowl and sour curd, lemon juice put on the turkey. Mix properly these ingredients with turkey half and marinate at least 1 hour.

Then garlic paste, zinger paste, coriander leaf paste, Black pepper paste, poppy seed paste, mace paste, some sugar mix properly in a bowl. After that put all this mixture into the turkey and smear over with the turkey properly.

Put the two turkey piece into a oven tray and spread over it fine chopped butter. Place the tray into the oven and wait 2 hours. Keep the oven in grill mode.
At this time some vegetables like potatoes, carrot, papaya and cauliflower boiled in a pot. Cut this vegetable as 2” long and 1” thick.

After 2 hours come out the tray and place the turkey in a  plate. Separate the gravy from the tray and put it in a fry pan. Then fry onion, some cream adds this gravy and swathe 1 minute. Now the roast is ready to serve.

Serving

Join the two ½ turkey with a stick as it is seen a full turkey. Put this turkey on a serving plate. The boiled vegetables keep in the plate and the gravy pour out into the vegetables. Use some sliced  tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce leaf to the plate. you can also use boiled corn, peas for decoration.

Happy Thanksgiving Day


Thanksgiving Day is a religious significant day of USA & other country. Historically it’s a day of spiritual and ethnic. Mainly USA and Canada observe the day as a national holiday. The day observes in USA at fourth Thursday of November and 2nd Monday of October in Canada. The main purpose other day is celebrating a get together and say thanks to God by pray for their success in life and successful for the state and nation. Thanksgiving day is called The Turkey day in USA. The main celebration of this day is fixing up a feast with family, neighbor and friends.

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated in the USA

Now a day’s Thanksgiving day observe as a common tradition. It’s a national holiday of USA.As views of many historians; from the year 1621 at Plymouth (now Massachusetts) Thanksgiving Day was 1stobserved. The inhabitants of Plymouth celebrate the day of their good harvest. From history it has been known that about 102 person of several religious leave England for religious work by ship in the year 1620. After a few months later they found a new place name Plymouth. That time most of the people of the were weak and ill for hungry. Among them whose felt better goes around and find a place to live. There they meet an indigenous American  name Scoantha. Scoantha teach them how they cultivate corn, catch fish and collect the juice from the maple tree. In 1621 the Plymouth people carry the harvest to their house.

Governor William arranges a feast for yield better. That feast firstly the say thanks to God for their better health and yield. Then they give thanks to others for help each other. That’s why this ceremony declares the first thanksgiving day.
According to the historians in the year 1621 the first thanksgiving day observed. It is also known that nationally thanks giving day was observed in 1623. Governor Bradford  was declared the first formal celebration of thanksgiving day. George Washington was the first US President who declared that thanksgiving day celebrated nationally on 26th November in 1789. In that day man gives thanks to others and pray to God for his great kindness to their lifespan.

It's practically a national holiday

In 1817 thanksgiving day was accepted as a national holiday in Newark.  After that in 1827  famous writer Sarah Joseph took an attempt to hold a thanksgiving day is a public holiday. Sarah Joseph proclamation her idea about 36 years. Lastly in 1863 President Abraham Lincoln accept the idea and declared the last Thursday of November observed thanksgiving day as a national holiday. But in 1939 US contemporary  president Franklin Roosevelt declared that the holiday observed one week earlier. From that time 4th Thursday of November celebrates the Thanksgiving day.

Main celebration

The main attraction of this day is arranging a feast among all of the family members and well wishers. Most popular food items of this feast are Turkey roast, Cranberry sauce, Sweet potato candy, Staffing, Mashed potato and traditional Pumpkin pie.
